About a year ago my father and I discussed starting a Hall of Fame for Turkeyshoot community. A lot has happened and changed in my life since then. Ultimately my goal with starting this venture in 2023 is to pay tribute to those who paved the way as well as those who have changed the game, the reality is something of this nature should be carefully crafted with the end result of it being The Crown Jewel of the sport. Exclusive, limited, reserved, honor, legendary, icon. For this award to have true meaning, it takes you the shooters to embrace the importance of what something like this can and will mean to individuals as well as the surviving family members of those whom have passed before us. Not only embracing the importance but also participating in the voting process. This is something we should all have in common, something we should all aspire to achieve, be it a shooting house operator, sepending decades week after week providing us with a place to shoot. Does that person deserve to be recognized? Yes! Be it a shooter whom has spent years building a reputation as the guy or girl to beat, their reputation spans multiple regions and they lay claim to winning multiple championships or major events. Does that person deserve his or her name in the history books of this sport? Yes! Builders, where would we all be without them? We are now in a era where many of the legendary figures of the sport are no longer with us. Many of these individuals have spent 10-20-30-40 years perfecting their craft so you can win week after week.
